April 2004 and I'm back in Atlanta, this time to take part in the Multimedia event Cyberotika 2004, held at the Dojo Yakko Gallery. Cyberotika brought together a large collection of talented photographers, who I was proud to be part of. At the head was the inspirational photographers Tsubasa and Laurence Gartel. Take note: Photographers to watch out for; Timothy Dolph (i>a winner of many awards later), Carah Kristel, Reece Newton - all truly excellent.
The gallery was an excellent exhibition and performance space and on the night, there was some 500 people in attendance. The fetish fashion show was introduced by the delicious and sexy Persephone, and Steve DT fotos of the evening's show which included the wonderful designs from the House of Harlot can be seen in the Performance gallery space (Room 3b).Steve DT was here to exhibit the Fetichegrams series, and this was the first major (and international) showing. It was to be Series 2, which had been processed differently to Series 1. The fotos (surreal abstract images of sex toys in imaginary surroundings) provided a lot of interest from the crowd throughout the night, with discussions ranging from their abstract values to guessing what the toy is! It was all such fun. After the exhibition, all were re-hung at the Luckie Street Collective Gallery in Atlanta, where the show continued for the next month. For further information and imagery from Series 1 and 2, go to the Fetichegram gallery section of www.sdtfoto.com.To view larger images of the fetichegram fotos from the Multimedia event, click on the fotos below.
